Dr. Mojdeh Shariatmadari holds a Ph.D. in Theology and Islamic Studies with a focus on Religions and Mysticism from the Science and Research University in Tehran, Iran. She also earned a second Master’s degree in General Psychology from the University of Tehran. In a segment of her studies and research, she has delved into the topic of spiritual well-being and spiritual flourishing.
She believes that addressing the subject of spiritual psychology within religious contexts can offer practical dimensions to enhance the quality of life and the flourishing of believers. As an accomplished researcher, she is known for her work on mystical anthropology and has made significant contributions to the study of religious and mystical traditions. Her doctoral thesis, titled “Mystical Anthropology in Zohar and Ἁzīz al-dīn Nasafī’s Works,” showcases her expertise in this field.
In addition to her academic pursuits, Dr. Mojdeh Shariatmadari is the Founder and Director of the Alaa Cultural Institute in Tehran, where she plays a crucial role in promoting cultural and intellectual exchange. Her multidisciplinary background and commitment to understanding and sharing the depth of religious and mystical thought make her a public figure in the academic and cultural landscape of Iran.
